Keep the first frame.
A timestamp and a distribution establish the starting point. History starts when observations are recorded.
ONE TOKEN. TWO MOMENTS.
The supply never tells the whole story in a single frame. Compare two moments. See what moved.
One frame shows a position. Two frames show a change. The animation illustrates the comparison, not individual transfers.
THE COMPARISON DESK
Example dataset / fictional accounts
All changes below are illustrative.
Bars show the first 8 accounts in the returned sample. Provider reports may be cached; capture time is the observation time.
View source on RugcheckLines match the same account across readings. They do not establish transfers, identity or intent.

THE METHOD
SHIFT compares account balances at recorded times. Here is what the comparison can tell you, and what it cannot.
Each reading needs a timestamp, a total supply, and balances indexed by account address. The same address is matched across both readings. A missing account is treated as unknown rather than silently assumed to hold zero.
The share is the account balance divided by total supply at that reading. Subtract the first share from the second to obtain the change in percentage points. This also makes a supply change visible in the result.
A change from 10% to 12% is +2 percentage points.
The position among the accounts included in your data, not every holder on the network.
Token accounts can belong to pools, exchanges, custody services or individuals. An increase does not by itself prove a purchase; a decrease does not prove a sale. Connecting lines match records and do not represent transaction paths.
Capture token fetches public account data from Rugcheck. Times describe when the response was observed, not a guaranteed blockchain block time. The provider may cache reports. Only the returned top accounts are recorded; this is not the full holder set. No wallet connection is required.
Load a JSON file with two snapshots. The file is processed locally. Include up to 100 accounts in each snapshot; only accounts present in both readings are compared.

}A SMALLER GAP BETWEEN DATA AND CLARITY
A token can look unchanged at a glance. Keep a reading, return later, and see which accounts gained or lost a share of the supply.
A timestamp and a distribution establish the starting point. History starts when observations are recorded.
Follow the same accounts, even when their rank changes. Compare their share of supply at both moments.
Inspect an account, export the comparison, or keep it in your local history for later research.
THE PROPOSED $SHIFT PASS
Longer archives, more monitored tokens and alerts for changes you choose. Proposed holder utilities for a future connected version.
